BMW 1600-2 Road Trip

It was a gorgeous night on the Washington coast in spring of 2015 and I was spending my first night in a real bed after completing a two month road trip up the entire west coast of the US. A client had hired me to create a series of original art for a new hotel and while the trip had been spectacular, I was ready to not be on the road for a minute. At 2am the my phone rang and still asleep, I answered it. My best friend Abigail was on the other end, she sounded excited and said something about a road trip. No fucking way I replied, I’d just finished one. “Let me send you a picture of the car” she replied and hung up.

Five hours later I found myself on an A330 heading to San Francisco to pick up her online auction winnings, a spotless two owner BMW 1600-2, and drive it to the east coast.
