Artist Postcard Project

Postcards are tiny but mighty, and they’re helping artists survive

At the beginning of the covid 19 pandemic, portrait photographer Giles Clement strapped on his N95 and began documenting the stories and resilience of his fellow artists. What began as a personal effort to document people across the arts world who lost their livelihoods quickly turned into something much bigger, a way to generate income for his subjects.

The project has caught the public’s attention, both for it’s arresting imagery, and it’s crucial role in helping support artists that are struggling to rebuild their lives. All it needs now is your buy in… Invest your brand in an exciting, empowering story of perseverance and rebuilding. Here’s how!

Giles has already created two ten-image series of photographs featuring artists, one in New Orleans and one in New York City. Each series has been turned into a gorgeous set of high quality postcards and a limited edition of fine art prints. These have been sold, and the resulting profits distributed to the artists who participated in the project. These have been met with a good deal of enthusiasm among collectors of Clement's art, as well as the friends and fans of the artists featured and to date the project has raised over $3,000 for twenty independent artists. With the pilot project an artistic and financial success, there’s never been a more important moment to move forward. That’s where you come in.

Giles would like to continue doing the series in other cities but in order to make this happen, he’ll need financial support from partners like your organization. He would like to find a brand that is looking for a small but impactful way of helping out people in the arts community so that once this pandemic is over, they’re on their feet, in fighting form, and able to go back to the important work of making the world a place worth celebrating in.

His work with numerous high profile musicians and celebrities has resulted in a strong social media presence including 60k on Instagram, 10k on Facebook and around 4k of highly engaged individuals on his mailing list.

Branding opportunities are open to negotiation but could include materials sent out with each pack of postcards, social media mentions and content created for the brand involved.
