Slightly Larger Than Life, Floating on Glass
The ambrotypes were finished using the Cutting technique which involves adhering the ambrotype to another piece of clear glass with Canada balsam sap. This presentation allows viewers to see the image from either side.
Having the 16x20 camera set up in the gallery allowed visitors to experience the huge projected image on the ground glass.
